The Rest of October Update

Well, blogging has had to stay on the back burner during the last few incredibly hectic weeks for work; hence the reason for no updates! Here's a quick update on the rest of October...
We had a fun evening of music at Roy & Maureen's.
Marilyn hosted a fall ladies' tea. So festive and fun!
Uncle Terry and Auntie Donna brought Grandpa Jim for supper one Friday evening. Terry has built us a new mantle for our fireplace; he and Troy did some fine-tune measuring and cutting for the bottom piece. More to come on that when we get it stained and in place...it's beautiful!
Howard & Marilyn hosted their annual Cider Bee. This was our first time attending - what fun!
First the apples are washed.
Then they're cut...
Then they go through the cider press...
After the fun work and an amazing potluck, everyone takes home a gallon of cider to enjoy!
Troy decided to carve one of our pumpkins on the afternoon of Halloween.
The finished product, in place
Some of our favorite trick-or-treaters of the evening

And one "prego pic" for my AZ family...baby boy was in the 75th percentile for size at my last ultrasound!

I didn't know they had percentile for before the baby is born?! My babies must have been about 150th percentile because I was at least twice the size of your cute little belly!

Hello!
Very cute prego pic! I want to see pics of when the fireplace is done! On the farm that my Aunt owns we used to do the apple thing and can tons of juice! It WAS fun the first few years and then..... We would drink so much juice that we would get sooo sick!

Looks like you are having a wonderful, festive fall!! Hope you are now enjoying your 3rd trimester! I always loved the second trimester...so much energy, etc!! I have a question for you & since I don't have your email address, perhaps you can post the response on my blog. Re: Sweet Potato Casserole you made several Thanksgivings ago & you gave me the recipe. Hopefully you know what recipe I am talking about. The 3 c. of sweet potatoes...is that pre cooked or after you cook them (steam or saute?) that you measure 3 cups to add to the rest of the ingredients. Now I probably have you confused! Sorry!!
