It started to snow during the night last Tuesday night, and showed no signs of stopping until Thursday afternoon! We've had additional snow several days since then. It looks like this year we won't just have to dream of a white Christmas! While this weather is commonplace in many parts of the country, the prolonged winter wonderland is a novelty for us. We've been loving it!
Troy had to try out the sled on our hill Wednesday afternoon after work. =)
After shoveling, playing, and taking snow pictures, what better way to warm up than with hot chocolate?
The 13 1/2 inches was at about 8:00 Thursday morning.
A representative picture of my dear husband's activity over the last week!
The sun began to shine from the west Thursday afternoon.
Friday morning was beautiful and sunny, leading to highs in the 20's. Some of the snowy views...
Saturday was another clear, sunny day; we could even see the mountains, which had still been clouded on Friday.
Another shoveling pic...you can see some of our street in the background.
Notice how the icicle had reached from one roofline to the other.
Some of the roofs looking down our street
One added bonus of the weather was that we had workers with us for three nights instead of the one that was planned at special meeting time. Don & Carol joined us for dinner Thursday evening. Their house wasn't accessible except by 4-wheel drive, so we got to have Terri M. and Karen B. that night. I had known Karen in Arizona growing up, so it was a treat to see her again!

Happy WHITE Holidays!
We are a little sad today because my dad passed away yesterday. :(
You had a bit more snow than us, I think.
