Jason, Donna, and Bryce visit

Jason, Donna, and Bryce came last Friday and spent the weekend with us. They were in Washington for a trial to determine permanent custody of Donna's neice, who has been living with them for a little over a year. We were relieved with the outcome of the trial; they were awarded permanent custody. Kayahni was terribly excited and relieved. It was so sweet to hear her reaction!

Bryce eating ice cream...a favorite pastime of the weekend. :)

Hanging out on Friday night... On Saturday, we met Donna's brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Lynsey, and their family at Pike Place Market and did the tourist thing. In honor of Presidents Day, a well-known national Lincoln impersonator was present to deliver the Gettysburg Address. Watching flying fish... On to the waterfront...a pose with our youngest nephew. We're anxious for the whole family's visit this summer! That silly shoe! Bryce was quite enthralled with the stairs up from the waterfront to the streets near the market! Up, down, up, down.... We went for a walk at Alki Beach. Bryce is standing with his cousins and their friend Mia from China. Bill, Lynsey, and family On Sunday morning, we awoke to a spectacular sunrise! The entertaining musician... We went for a drive after lunch and before gospel meeting. Jason & Donna were treated to some of our February spring-tease weather! A scenic look at farmland and Mount Baker An eagle resting in a tree next to the road A field of snow geese and a few trumpeter swans
On Monday morning, I took Jason, Donna, and Bryce down to Olympia. Before we left, a cement truck and concrete pump came to pour at the house next door, still under construction. Perfect entertainment for one little nephew! After the trial on Tuesday, we had dinner and I spent the night at Zayne and Sheryl Elrods'. I went to meeting at Zayne's parents home in Flagstaff during my college days at NAU. It was good to catch up and meet Zayne's family! Their little one, Gavin, was pleased to have some company playing with the toys. Zayne and Sheryl
Wonderful hospitality and a wonderful evening!
