Wildlife and no camera!

Troy and I decided spontaneously to go to La Conner for lunch after meeting today. We ate at Calico Cupboard, which met our expectations as it's known to do. We had fun walking around a few of the shops, even though it was chilly. The views are so peaceful and beautiful on the back roads between here and there, so we were already wishing we had brought the camera. We saw several fields filled with trumpeter swans, which is one of the sights we've come to enjoy this winter. As we were driving home, Troy mentioned that we hadn't seen any bald eagles yet. Sure enough...just a couple minutes after that we came around a curve and saw two large ones up in a tree and some people pulled over to the side of the road to capture them with their cameras. We decided we need to bring the camera with us everywhere, even if we think we're just coming right home!

Sounds like a fun outing on a Sunday afternoon! Try "Seeds" sometime too...owned by the Calico Cupboard and a lot the same but a little different too. We go occasionally. Next time don't forget the camera (I do it all the time!)!!

Ahh yes,, many times I wish I'd had my camera when I see the majestic trumpter swans and eagles on just trips to town!
LaConner is delightful isn't? As Meg said Seeds is also great! Try their fish tacos! Better yet, let's meet there!
