Lois, Carolyn, and The Big Red Truck

Monday was a snow day. All around, the children were excited; nearly all of the schools in the area were either closed or starting late. Local children spent the morning sledding down the street. Lois and Carolyn were excited to see the snow. They couldn't wait to take a walk as they watched the snowflakes fall. After their walk, it was time to say goodbye to their friends Dan and Jeanne. They said goodbye and loaded their car. Up the driveway hill they went. Down the hill they went. Up the hill they tried to go again. Down the hill they slid again. Dan tied a rope to his big red truck and started to pull them up the hill. Uh-oh...he started sliding back down the hill with them! The neighbor watched them curiously as he drank his coffee. Lois and Carolyn began to wonder if they would be staying another night with Dan and Jeanne. Finally, Dan decided they should just drive the big red truck. So they happily drove the big red truck up the steep driveway and on to town for their errands. Then they drove it to Troy and Lisa's house, where Troy and Lisa were anxiously waiting for their visit! By the time they got there, most of the snow had melted. So that's the story of how the big red truck became a companion car for a day!

Great story! And great to see a picture of 'our' Lois again. It's been awhile. We wonder if she'll ever be 'ours' again, but are glad they all are willing to be where they're needed =) P&DC in Escondido
