Ahhh, glorious sunshine!

We had the most beautiful sunny winter weather this week! The sun was gone today, but it was still enjoyable. I went with Jeanne Kitchen and Lois Austin down to Greenlake. We walked around the lake twice, which felt terrific! Parts of the lake had a thin layer of ice around the edges. We watched ducks and other birds venture out onto the ice. One seagull did a little ice sliding as he jumped further out to grab another nibble - pretty funny to watch! We got a little rain, a little sleet, and a few little snowflakes, but our choice to walk the full two laps first and eat lunch afterward proved to be wise. The rain increased to be steady during lunch, so it's not likely that we would've been highly motivated to start again! Below are a few photos of the mountains in their snow-covered majesty this week, and one of the moon rising. I wish our camera could have done it justice!
