I had a work conference in Houston at the end of March, so I got to go early and spend the weekend with Gina. It was so fun to spend time with her, see her place, and meet Clifford and Toby! After a fabulous barbecue dinner at Goode Company on the first night, we headed to an amazing antiques show on Saturday (http://www.antiqueweekend.com/). What an experience! There are thousands of booths set up for miles around three little bitty towns. How unfortunate to be limited by what I could take home on the plane!
I just liked this shot, with the old pickup included.
One of Gina's finds - a table to be used as a desk
We thought we were basically done for the day, but then thought we'd just turn right and see what else was up the road. We topped the next rolling hill and realized we had hardly gotten started!
Too bad I couldn't have driven this beauty home; I could've gotten so many treasures!
Lines of cars...booths set up on both sides of the road for as far as you could see, and rows of them back from the road for a long way!
After we left, we calculated that what we had seen represented 3/26 of the sites listed on the map.
The blue bonnets in the medians and along the sides of the road were beautiful!
The lovely boquet Gina made at home
Toby! What a fun puppy - never a dull moment with him around, unless he's sleeping!
Gina and Clifford on Sunday
Thank you, Gina, for a great weekend!
