Montana Trip

We took a trip to Plentywood with Dan, Tonya, and girls over the 4th of July weekend. We brought back a big load of furniture and other family heirlooms that had still been in Montana. Suzy took the train and met us there. On the way there and back, we stayed at Duane and Melanie's place near Helena. Melanie is Troy and Tonya's cousin and Duane was Troy's roommate for the year he attended Montana State.
A game of "H-O-R-S-E" to unwind Jacqueline and Julia love Logan and Jannessa! Tonya and Melanie They are in such a serene spot! Melanie and Duane We arrived at Troy & Tonya's Uncle Richard and Aunt Myrle's house in Plentywood Thursday evening. Richard has an elaborate train setup in their basement; the girls were impressed! The two Plentywood graduates in front of their school Aunt Myrle in her classroom The Plentywood mascot is still hanging in the gym! The girls and I had some fun outings to the parks in Plentywood. Elton and Sylvia Overby gave us the use of their home while we were in town; they were gone for a family reunion and a trip to Norway. We can't thank them enough for their generosity and hospitality. The Henke family; they stopped by with Dairy Queen on Saturday evening! Troy and I after meeting at Kleppens' on Sunday - they have such a nice view over the valley.
Dan, Tonya, Jacqueline, and Julia Bill and Margaret Wagner had us over for lunch on Sunday; they live very near where Troy, Tonya, and Travis grew up on the farm. Some of Bill's handiwork; he does amazing things with wood! Gene and Connie Dawson; Connie is Margaret's sister. They were visiting for the week. Andy and Eleanor Johnson
On the way back, we stopped in Glasgow and got to see Kelvin Johnson. He was very interested in sneaking a peek at Troy's '68 GTO! Back at Melanie and Duane's, after Duane guided Troy in turning the truck around and backing it into place Two old roommates Preparing to switch the trailer back to the U-Haul hitch after turning it around The whole set-up! We had a pretty smooth trip home. Unloading took Troy and Dan a few evenings after work. Suzy's Amtrak train passed us when we were in Northern Montana. She saw us out the window in the U-Haul; both she and we waved! I realized that all the pictures with her in them ended up on someone else's camera!

Was so nice to get to see you in northeast Montana! Glad to hear that you made it back home safely. Our kids rode the school bus with Troy and Travis and have lots of great stories and memories. Sylvia Adams
